One of my great loves….Candles!

They do say that life’s simple things make you the happiest…. this is indeed true in this case. Candles, who doesn’t love them?!

There is nothing better than sitting down after a long day at work- especially in these cold winter months, by a warm fire, sipping a glass of vino with a deliciously scented candle burning! Or run a long, hot bubble bath and burn a few of these candles, you will be instantly relaxed and your house will feel calm and serene.

There are SO many different brands you can buy these days and I have tried just about all of them but I have discovered my absolute favourite…. iKOU!

This Australian brand uses ingredients and products that are a lot less harmful on the environment and to us consumers. They sell a huge range of products but the two I have focused on in this post are the candles and wax melts which are 100% natural wax! The wax melts come in packs of 3 and last for up to 30 hours each.

Have you ever noticed when burning some other candle brands that black smoke comes out of them or stains the glass container they are in? Well good news!! This doesn’t happen with iKOU products! Not only does it look cleaner and better without that black soot but you know they are better for you!

The below Japanese verb is the iKOU brand philosophy and something we should all try to remember in our busy lives!

iKOU: [ ik-oo ] Japanese verb: to rest, to relax, to restore…

iKOU is based in the World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains, Australia.
We hand-make 100% Natural Bath & Body products, Natural Botanical Skin-Care, Candles and Herbal Teas.

iKOU’s philosophy is to live the real life…

– using pure, natural ingredients that are ethically sourced…
– being true to ourselves and others…
– treading lightly on our environment…
– creating a range that encourages its users to take the time to rest and relax and maintain equilibrium..

I love so many of the iKOU products it is hard to narrow it down to just one favourite. I would say my two favourites would be the Pillar Candles and the Wax Melts.

The Pillar Candles come in both scented and unscented. But you would have to be crazy not to go for the scented ones as they are just so divine! Every time someone walks into my house they comment on how yummy it smells and it’s because I always have either a candle or wax melt burning!

They come in a range of sizes as well so there is sure to be one for everyone. Tall, small and chunky. They not only look stunning while burning but they will make your house smell like a dream!

Green Tea and Cherry Blossom – Small ($19.95) Tall ($34.95) Chunky ($39.95)

Coconut Lime – Small ($19.95) Tall ($34.95) Chunky ($39.95)

The oil/wax burners come in a range of different styles and colours, these are just a few…

Wax Melts- These also come in a heap of different scents. Why not grab one of each and discover which is your favourite?

Bliss Melts – $17.95

De Stress Melts – $17.95 – Great for un winding after a long day

Energise Melts – $17.95

Rejuvenate Melts – $17.95

You can also get “melt toppers” which are great to use when your wax melt isn’t smelling as strong anymore you can just pop a few drops of the corresponding topper in and voila.. you have a beautiful smelling wax melt all over again.

Melt Toppers – $19.95

These are just a small amount of the amazing products that ikOU sell so jump on their website to check out the full range.

My pleasure! I am glad you like the look of them. There are so many amazing scents I can’t decide on just one favourite, I would say probably turkish rose or one of the vanilla ones. Definitely try them, you won’t regret it 🙂
