Choc Banana Bread

Banana and chocolate, two delicious things that when put together make a very tasty treat! Today was a little wintery and overcast outside so I thought what better day to do some baking and warm the house with the delicious smell of this loaf cooking away. This is such a quick and easy recipe, so next time you have some spare bananas in the house give it a go!

Ingredients

4 bananas (mashed)

250g plain flour

125g unsalted butter (softened)

250g castor sugar

2 eggs

1 tspn vanilla extract

175g dark or milk chocolate chips

2 tspns baking powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees

Grease and line a loaf tin

Sift flour and baking powder into bowl

Mix the butter, sugar, banana, eggs, vanilla and chocolate in a separate bowl until combined

Add the dry mix to the wet and stir to combine. Careful not to over mix!

Pour mixture into tin and bake for 1 hour 15 mins. Leave to cool in tin for 5 minutes before turning out.

Enjoy with a warm cup of tea! 🙂
