Anybody who knows me knows I am addicted to bananas. Anything banana flavoured has my name all over it!! I have also been known to enjoy a cocktail or two so of course I go crazy for a banana daiquiri.
Unfortunately unless on a tropical island or poolside at a resort I struggle to find places that serve my favourite beverage (PSA to bars around the world, please get onto that)! Anyway that being said I decided it was time to whip up some of my own daiquiris, Courtney’s bar is now open for business.
Below is a quick recipe that was super easy to make at home. All you have to do is throw everything in blender, pour into your favourite cocktail glass and sit back and imagine yourself lounging on a tropical beach somewhere!
3 frozen bananas
2/3 cup white rum
2 tbsp banana liqeur
1/2 lime (juiced)
2 tbsp icing sugar
1/4 cup of orange juice. If you prefer less of a tangy flavour you can leave this out
1 cup ice
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If you enjoy your daiquiri a bit thicker then add some more ice and blend again.
Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with a marachino cherry or piece of fresh banana.
