Avocado Toast Recipe

Avocado Toast, my kryptonite! Well actually avocado anything really. Β I like going out for brunch and ordering avo toast as much as the next girl but sometimes you want to save yourself the $12 and make it at home!


Everyone has their personal preference on how they like theirs made and this version is how we eat it in our house and it always goes down a treat. If you’re feeling extra hungry add a few poached eggs on top.

I think the key is to add lots of things to enhance the flavour of the avocado. It’s super quick and easy and the slowest part is waiting for the avocados the ripen up after buying them. This is a lifelong struggle that I’m sure you all feel me on!


Recipe serves 2 people.

Ingredients:

2 avocados

1/2 – 1 lemon, juiced

1.5 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Cilantro, chopped to taste (optional)

Red Chilli Pepper Flakes

Tajin Seasoning

Method:

Put all ingredients in a bowl (except chilli flakes and tajin)

Combine and mash up with a fork until well mixed

You can mash up a little less if you prefer a chunkier consistancy

Spoon mixture onto English muffins or some fresh toast of your choice (I love a crunchy multi grain toast)

Sprinkle small amount of red chilli flakes on top along with some Tajin.

Enjoy alongside a large cup of coffee!
