Strawberry Cobbler Recipe

I don’t know about you, but to me winter just screams warm, comforting desserts that you can eat while its raining outside. This Strawberry Cobbler recipe will warm your insides in the best possible way!

First and foremost I was lucky enough to come across this recipe on Divas Can Cook – she has some incredible recipes so you all need to check her out!!

I had never made a cobbler before as I always thought they would be hard to make. Oh how wrong I was!! This was THE easiest recipe, so quick and I now can’t believe I have waited so long. Cobbler WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE??

I just know you will enjoy this as much as my household did, I can’t wait to try making again with some different kinds of fruits and in summer peach cobbler will definitely be on the menu!

Ingredients:

3 cups fresh strawberries – diced

1/2 – 3/4 cup sugar

1 cup all purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup milk

1 stick butter – melted

 

Method:

Preheat oven to 375 F or 185 C

In a bowl, add strawberries and 3/4 cup sugar

Stir to coat strawberries and set aside

In another bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar

Add in milk, vanilla extract and melted butter

Grease a 9 inch dish

Pour batter into dish

Spoon strawberries evenly on top of batter. Do not stir!

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream

Enjoy!

This recipe is perfection. It goes amazingly golden and bubbly and caramelises around the edges. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
