Hola Babes! Ive been wanting to try out a Spicy Margarita for a while and finally got around to it, and I think I’m hooked! Today I’ll be sharing my recipe with you all.
If you like things to have a bit of a zing like I do you are going to love this refreshing bevie! The wonderful thing about it is you can make it as spicy as you like. This would be the perfect drink to serve up at your next gathering and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
I decided to make mine a Grapefruit Marg to give it a bit of a twist, but there are so many other flavours you could do, I’m excited to try some this summer. This recipe is easy to whip up and will have you feeling spicyyyyy in no time. Salud!
This recipe will make two drinks so you can adjust accordingly.
Ingredients
2 Shots (3 ounces) of Tequila
3 Shots (4.5 ounces) of Grapefruit Juice
1-2 Fresh Limes
1 Fresh Jalapeño
2-4 Teaspoons Simple Syrup
1 Fresh Grapefruit
Chilli Salt or Regular Salt
Method
Slice the jalapeño into rounds
In a cocktail shaker add the tequila and approx 5 pieces of jalapeño. More of less depending on your taste. If you don’t like it super spicy take the seeds out. Keep some aside for garnishing.
Leave the jalapeño to infuse into the tequila for approx 30 mins
Cut the limes in half, use one of them to rub the rim of each tumbler glass
Cut the grapefruit into wedges
Place some salt or chilli salt on a plate and rub the rims of each glass to coat them
When you are ready to serve up get your cocktail shaker that already has the tequila and jalapeños in it, add the grapefruit juice, squeeze the lime juice, add the simple syrup and some ice cubes. Shake until well combined.
Add some ice cubes to each glass, pour the mixture, top with two jalapeño slices and a grapefruit wedge.
Enjoy!
