Hey Babes! Who doesn’t love Buffalo Chicken?! Tangy and spicy all in one. I love my buffalo chicken wings but let’s be real we can’t always have those naughty treats so today I’m sharing with you a healthier take on this tasty dish that gives you the same delicious flavour without the guilt.
This recipe is SO easy you simply throw it all in the slow cooker and let it simmer away. The smell that wafted through my house when this was cooking was insanely good, it certainly built up our appetite.
I served our chicken with fresh salad ingredients in a deconstructed way because we felt like a lighter meal but you could serve it so many different ways. In soft or hard taco’s, in a bowl with vegetables and rice or quinoa for a healthier option or with some tortilla chips on the side. The possibilities are endless.
All you do is prep your sides, throw the chicken ingredients in the slow cooker, pour yourself a wine and wait for it to be ready to serve.
4 Chicken Breasts
1 Bottle of Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Teaspoon Dried Thyme
1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
1 Teaspoon Seasoning Salt or Chilli Salt
Ground Black Pepper to taste
Put all ingredients in a slow cooker and stir well.
Cover with lid and set timer for 4 hours on HIGH.
Throughout the cooking it is handy to stir the pot and spoon some sauce over the chicken.
Once the 4 hours is up, get two forks and shred the breasts until all pulled apart.
Serve in your desired way.
