Essentials For New Mumma’s

Essentials For New Mumma’s

Hi Babes, it’s been a while. It’s been a crazy past few months with being pregnant and welcoming our beautiful baby girl as well as building a house I haven’t really had much spare time but I’ve missed ya’ll and can’t wait to get back into the blog!

As a new mum I am doing everything for the first time and frankly have no clue what I’m doing I’m just taking it day by day. I’ll pop a post up soon talking more about motherhood but for today I wanted to share some things that have helped make my life easier since entering motherhood.

As all you mumma bears know you have no time to yourself in those first few months and need everything you do to be speedy and easy. These items will hopefully make your life that little bit easier and more convenient as well as making you feel comfy and cosy while at home bonding with your new bundle of joy. I’ve found for myself it makes all the difference to have some stylish loungewear so you at least feel a little bit cute while being spat up on haha. It’s also important to have things of convenience as you often have no spare hands when you’re feeding so want things to be within reach and have access to them easily.

Below you will find a few things I’m loving and you can shop them directly through the scroll bar. I will run through why I’m enjoying these pieces.

Barefoot Dreams Blanket – If you don’t already have one of these in your home you NEED one now! Yes they are pricey but they are 100% worth every penny! They are by far the softest and snuggliest blankets I’ve ever used. Everyone in your house will want to steal it, they are that good. They don’t lose their quality over time and you can just throw them in the wash, which lets face it is essential as a mum when you’re low on time. These blankets are perfect for those long nights when you’re up feeding.

Robe – Every gal needs a comfy robe for around the house! It helps to have a pretty one that makes you feel put together as well. They are perfect to throw on over a tank and allow easy access when feeding.

Feeding Tank Top – These are a lifesaver and I have lived in them since coming home from the hospital! Asos have them in a range of colours and I would stock up on a few because you’ll always need spares. I wear them 24/7.

Shiatsu Massage Pillow – I’ve had mine for a year or so now and loved it long before becoming a mum and still reach for it now. It was super handy during pregnancy for all those back pains and is amazing now when you’re neck or back gets sore from feeding or carrying bub around. The beauty with these is you can easily move them around the house or use in the car also. You can move them up or down your back depending on your problem areas. My hubby even uses it for his calf muscles when sore after working out. This is a must have for those sore, tired bodies!

Yeti Mug – This is EVERYTHING!!! This would have to be my best mum investment hands down. I’m sure every mum can relate to making a cup of tea or coffee and having it go cold because you get distracted with the kids. I lost count of the amount of times I had to reheat my coffee so this has been a life saver. It keeps your drink piping hot for so so long. I’m talking hours! If there is one thing you buy make it this.

Long Phone Charger – As you mums well know when you’re feeding or have your hands busy with baby you can’t reach for anything. You tend to use your phone a lot more these days while feeding or sitting on the couch so you always need to charge it up and these long cords are perfect as they reach that extra bit further so if you’re not near an outlet you can still charge your phone. So handy!

Loungewear Set – All the sweat seats from this site are so cute and I would be happy with any of them. They come in a variety of colours and styles depending on what you like and I was so thrilled when I got mine to see it was equally as soft and comfy as it looked online! You can still be cosy at home while feeling nice. Invest in a few of these.

Asos Nursing T – Shirt – These are such good quality and reasonably priced nursing tops. You wouldn’t even know they are nursing tops they look so good. They come in a few colours and wear really well. They have easy access for feeding so you can wear them out of the house. The perfect staple for your new mum wardrobe!

Nursing Bra – These are super comfortable and go well under anything. They have no underwire so I also wore mine during pregnancy. You can also slip breast pads inside if need be which is so helpful.

Slippers – Need I say more?! Always essential to have a comfy pair to wear around the house and keep those tootsies warm. It helps when they are this stylish and pretty.

Water Bottle – The thirst is SO real when feeding. Oh my gosh I had no idea, you get so so thirsty there is not enough water in the world. This bottle is perfect as it keeps you accountable and ensures you’re drinking enough and staying hydrated.

Well that’s it for today, I hope you all enjoyed my round up. I’m sure I’ll do more posts like this as the months go on with more must have items to make mum life easier.

Hope all you mums out there are coping well and just remember what a phenomenal job you’re doing!

Lots of love!
